According to POLITICO, White House officials said that executives of prediction market companies will not attend the White House tech leaders event hosted by Trump on August 20. The event was originally intended as the kickoff meeting for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) advisory committee, and top executives from cryptocurrency and prediction market companies were previously expected to attend. Officials confirmed that cryptocurrency industry executives will still participate in the event, but spokespeople for major prediction market operators such as Kalshi and Polymarket have not yet responded to requests for comment.
