According to CryptoRank data, the open interest for crypto assets on perpetual DEXs has reached a record high of $19 billion, with total open interest hitting a record $25 billion. During the same period, the share of real-world assets (RWA) in total open interest has increased from 6% at the start of 2026 to 24% currently, reflecting the expansion of on-chain perpetual contracts into real-world asset sectors such as equities and commodities.
