Odaily News: An investigation by US Senate Democrats claims that the stablecoin USDT issued by Tether has become a primary payment method for Iran. The investigation shows that among over 800 sanctioned crypto wallets, approximately 84% primarily or exclusively use USDT. The US Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations previously stated that its review of blockchain records, sanctions lists, and asset seizure notices found that the sanctioned wallets were mainly distributed on the Tron and Ethereum networks and had conducted USDT transactions.
