Former Co-Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation Tomasz K. Stańczak (@tkstanczak) posted that Ethereum's future pace of change will outpace human governance capabilities, and the blockchain will begin to operate as an adaptive system, with its hierarchical structure jointly determined by the signal value in specific regions and the form of infrastructure.
This view stems from a reference to an Anthropic engineering blog post, where Anthropic disclosed that its internal code merge volume surged from approximately 2,500 daily merges in May to over 30,000 daily merges in September. Its existing development infrastructure, originally designed for human-scale operations, has become a bottleneck, prompting a pivot toward building an internal source code control system tailored to the scale of AI agents. Stańczak argues that this explosive growth in AI-driven development velocity will similarly unfold within the Ethereum ecosystem.
