According to on-chain analytics platform Glassnode (@glassnode), leverage levels in the altcoin market remain elevated. Since leverage rates peaked earlier this month, altcoin prices have already pulled back, but leverage ratios for over 40% of large-cap altcoins remain near their highest levels of the year, while the proportion of mid-cap altcoins in a high-leverage state has risen to an annual peak. Glassnode points out that if prices decline further, a significant number of long positions across the market may face liquidation risk.
