Fission Completes $10 Million Series A Funding, Led by Pantera Capital
Odaily News: Fission has announced the completion of a $10 million Series A funding round, led by Pantera Capital, with participation from Circle Ventures, Borderless Capital, and Ari Rubenstein, among others. The round was completed in September, with the valuation undisclosed. Fission primarily provides liquidity services for tokenized funds, acting as a buyer to help investors sell their fund shares without waiting for the fund to process redemptions; after users connect their digital wallets and submit sell requests, Fission handles the relevant legal and transaction processes. CEO Jonathan Shaffer stated that for products that typically take around 200 days to sell, investors can sell immediately after paying a fee, with settlement times reduced to 90 seconds or less. Fission was founded in 2024, with a founding team that includes former employees of Point72 and Securitize. Its clients are mainly institutional investors and organizations holding on-chain assets, such as hedge funds holding tokenized private credit or equity assets, crypto institutions managing treasuries, and stablecoin issuers allocating reserves to yield-bearing tokenized investment products.
