Odaily News: eToro released its Q2 2026 earnings report, showing a notable slowdown in digital asset trading activity, while the company continues to advance its on-chain financial infrastructure development.In terms of trading data, eToro's crypto asset trading volume in July was 1.4 million transactions, down 73% year-over-year; the average investment amount per crypto transaction was $182, down 50% year-over-year. Q2 crypto-related revenue was $1.346 billion, down from $1.915 billion in the same period in 2025. Despite the decline in crypto business revenue, the company's overall net profit still grew 77% year-over-year to $53.48 million.On the crypto strategy front, eToro completed the acquisitions of digital asset self-custody platform Zengo and Israeli crypto trading platform Bit2C during Q2, aiming to strengthen its self-custody service capabilities and promote the integration of traditional finance with the on-chain economy. According to GlobeNewswire, eToro, a trading and investment platform, announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Zengo, a leading self-custodial crypto wallet provider. This acquisition aims to deepen eToro’s digital asset capabilities and accelerate its strategic initiative to bridge traditional finance with on-chain infrastructure. Founded in 2018, Zengo builds its keyless wallet architecture on Multi-Party Computation (MPC) cryptographic technology. It currently serves over 2 million users across more than 180 countries and regions, and has never experienced a wallet breach since its inception. Following the acquisition, eToro will leverage Zengo’s technological expertise to further support decentralized trading use cases—including tokenized assets, prediction markets, and perpetual contracts. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
