Bloomberg: Robinhood Stock Tokens Become the "New Fuel" for Meme Coins, Trading Volume Peaks at $440 Million

According to Bloomberg, Robinhood stock tokens are becoming a new liquidity asset for Meme coin trading. Since these tokens are 1:1 backed by their corresponding stocks and can circulate on open on-chain markets, they introduce a new asset class that allows traders to combine them with Meme coins in liquidity pools for direct swapping. Citing Dune data, the report notes that daily trading volume for stock token and Meme coin pairs reached approximately $440 million in early September before quickly falling back.

On-chain trading terminals recorded weekly trading volume of $6.35 billion, with GMGN contributing $2.07 billion
