ElizaOS founder Shaw accused daos.fun founder baoskee of selling tokens using undisclosed information during the renaming and migration process of AI16Z, profiting approximately $6.6 million. baoskee denied the relevant accusations, and both sides currently have conflicting claims.
Odaily News: Shaw posted on X platform, stating that daos.fun founder baoskee used insider information to trade during the ai16z project rename and migration process, profiting approximately $6.6 million by selling ai16z. Shaw claimed that in June 2025, the project team promised to launch a Snapshot vote for the community to decide whether to rename, after a16z had previously requested the project to change its name to avoid trademark disputes. When the voting mechanism was not launched on time as promised, baoskee, knowing about the rename pressure and subsequent migration plans, sold all ai16z from daos.fun's execution wallet and continued to dump tokens before the project migrated to elizaOS, causing the token price to drop. Shaw believes baoskee possessed information that other holders did not have at the time. Baoskee denied the allegations in response, stating that the Snapshot vote had actually been launched, and that daos.fun had additionally added and locked in over $1 million in ai16z liquidity at its own expense. Baoskee also counter-accused Shaw of serious issues in project operations, token migration, and development fund usage. There is a clear discrepancy between the two parties' statements. Shaw stated he would attach relevant on-chain records.
Odaily News daos.fun founder baoskee posted on the X platform stating that the team has ceased further development of DAO products. The reason is that the market is primarily driven by speculation, and the "degen managing a hedge fund" model has structural issues, including behaviors such as dumping after fundraising or self-buying tokens. He pointed out that daos.fun had previously promoted narratives related to DAOs, ICM, and AI, and emphasized that the team did not engage in insider trading or token sniping during operations, creating profits for users.Simultaneously, baoskee mentioned that while the whitelist mechanism is controversial, overall it still constituted an "interesting experiment." He stated he will continue to monitor the development of new projects like pumpcade and megapot, and is optimistic about the innovative potential of the Solana ecosystem in the financial gaming field.
