Odaily News: According to two people familiar with the matter, U.S. President Trump is expected to appoint current Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton as the White House's new AI affairs chief ("AI czar"), with an announcement potentially coming as early as Friday local time. White House officials responded by saying that any personnel appointment will be announced directly by Trump himself, and that related reports before a formal announcement are "unfounded speculation."Clayton is expected to continue serving as Director of National Intelligence.
