Judge Rejects Google’s Motion, Search Data Sharing Order Remains in Effect

Source: x.com
According to Bloomberg, U.S. federal judge Amit Mehta rejected Alphabet’s (Google’s parent company) request to pause the enforcement order on Thursday local time. Google had been ordered to grant competitors access to its underlying search data during its appeal, following a ruling that it illegally monopolized the online search market. The judge stated that since implementing data sharing would take at least several months, Google currently faces no immediate risk of harm—thus justifying the rejection of its pause request.
