The U.S. Department of Justice announced that Iris Rabaya O., a resident of Irvine, California, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for willfully failing to report over $2.6 million in income, and ordered to pay approximately $1.484 million in restitution, along with the forfeiture of luxury vehicles, designer handbags, and other assets. The funds were derived from criminal activities conducted by her ex-boyfriend, cryptocurrency industry professional Adam Isa. O. is also alleged to have assisted in establishing shell companies and bank accounts used to transfer and utilize illicit proceeds.
