South Korean retail investors bought $4.6 billion in US stocks in July, hitting a year-to-date high.

The Kobeissi Letter posted on X stating that amid heightened volatility in the South Korean domestic market, South Korean retail investors are clearly shifting towards the U.S. stock market. In July, South Korean retail investors net bought $4.6 billion in U.S. stocks, up 627% from the previous month, marking the highest single-month level since January 2026 and significantly exceeding the 2025 monthly average of $2.7 billion.
