According to BeInCrypto, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra stated at a semiconductor manufacturing facility near the company’s headquarters in Boise, Idaho, that memory has become strategic infrastructure for the AI era, and AI-driven demand growth will permanently reset the economic logic of this cyclical industry. Financially, Micron reported third-quarter revenue of $41.46 billion, marking a substantial increase from last year’s $9.3 billion, with its gross margin climbing to 84.6%. The company also expects its fourth-quarter gross margin to rise further to approximately 86%.
Regarding supply, demand from data center customers reaches approximately 150% of Micron’s committed supply volume, highlighting a significant shortfall. Mehrotra also identified autonomous vehicles, robotics, and AI consumer devices as future sources of incremental demand.
