Nasdaq 23-hour trading system approved, will go live on December 6

According to Nasdaq's Q1 2026 financial report and the Form 8-K filed with the SEC, its 23-hour trading system (23/5) has been approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and will be officially implemented on December 6, 2026. After the new system goes live, the U.S. stock market will only be closed daily from 20:00 to 21:00 Eastern Time for system clearing and data processing, and will remain open for continuous trading during the remaining periods.
