Australia suspends Cryptolink Bitcoin ATM operations for three months
According to Cointelegraph, the Australian anti-money laundering regulator AUSTRAC has suspended cryptocurrency ATM operator Cryptolink's Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration for three months due to "ongoing violations," with its 96 Bitcoin ATMs ceasing operations effective immediately. AUSTRAC stated that Cryptolink failed to fulfill basic reporting obligations (particularly threshold transaction reports) and refused to respond to the regulator's information requests. Previously, Cryptolink had signed an enforceable undertaking with AUSTRAC in October 2025 and paid a fine of $56,340. Cryptolink's ATMs are mainly distributed in major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
