Hut 8 Wins Bid for Poolin’s Texas Data Center for $140 Million

Hut 8 has secured the Pyote and Tarbush data centers in Texas from bankrupt cryptocurrency mining company Poolin with a $140 million bid, approaching three times the initial base offer of $52 million. The transaction remains subject to approval by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Jersey, with a hearing scheduled for September 29. Poolin carries approximately $173 million in liabilities, roughly $163.7 million of which constitutes unsecured debt owed to Poolin wallet users. The acquisition will further expand Hut 8’s artificial intelligence infrastructure footprint.
