Scimplify Raises $25 Million to Challenge China's Critical Materials Supply Chain with AI Technology
According to TechCrunch, Indian startup Scimplify has announced the completion of a $25 million strategic financing round led by Hitachi Ventures, with new investors Henkel and Teknor Apex, and follow-on participation from existing shareholders including Accel India and Bertelsmann India Investments. Following this round, the company's valuation stands at $250 million, raising its cumulative equity financing to $80 million.
Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Bangalore, Scimplify leverages its proprietary AI platform, Scinode, to coordinate chemical R&D and manufacturing processes, reducing material delivery cycles from the traditional 12 to 18 months to as little as two months. The company currently serves over 1,000 clients across more than 40 countries, generating approximately $200 million in annualized revenue—a roughly threefold year-over-year increase—and has achieved positive EBITDA for two consecutive months. Revenue from the energy, electronics, and defense sectors now accounts for 45% to 50%.
