Aptos Governance Proposal Voting Enables Encrypted Transaction Feature to Reduce MEV Risk
Aptos Governance Proposal #206 is currently under voting, proposing to activate ChunkyDKG V1 full mode and the encrypted_transactions feature. Through Distributed Key Generation, this mechanism enables encrypted transactions by concealing their contents prior to consensus ordering, with validators collaboratively decrypting them afterward, which helps mitigate front-running and MEV risks. The proposal's voting period ends on October 6. While the current approval rate approaches 100%, voter turnout is merely 2.69%, failing to reach the required 24.8% quorum.
