According to analysis by market research firm TrendForce, the combined revenue of the top five global NAND flash vendors reached USD 68.87 billion in the second quarter of 2026, a significant 77% increase quarter-over-quarter, mainly driven by the expansion of enterprise SSD demand driven by AI servers and rising contract prices. Samsung Electronics retained the top spot with revenue of USD 23.06 billion, a 70.7% quarter-over-quarter increase, but its market share slipped slightly to 29.3%; SK hynix (including Solidigm) ranked second with USD 14.27 billion, an 89.5% quarter-over-quarter increase, with market share rising to 18.2%; Micron recorded revenue of USD 11.85 billion with the highest growth rate of 99.2%, its market share rose to 15.1%, surpassing Kioxia to rank third; Kioxia revenue was USD 10.72 billion, up 79.9%; SanDisk had the lowest growth rate at 50.7%, with market share dropping to 11.4%. TrendForce expects that demand for enterprise SSDs for AI servers will remain strong in the third quarter, but major vendors will shift the focus of capital expenditure to DRAM and HBM, new NAND supply will be constrained, and the trend of price increases is expected to continue.
