Hong Kong SFC welcomes the National Financial Regulatory Administration's announcement supporting Mainland insurance institutions to invest in Hong Kong ETFs via Stock Connect.

The Securities and Futures Commission welcomes the announcement made today by the National Financial Regulatory Administration actively supporting Mainland insurance funds to participate in the Mainland and Hong Kong financial market connectivity, and supporting Mainland insurance institutions to invest in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) listed on the Hong Kong Exchange through Stock Connect. This policy will further expand the options for Mainland insurance institutions to conduct overseas asset allocation through Hong Kong, demonstrating the National Financial Regulatory Administration's support for continuously deepening the financial connectivity between the Mainland and Hong Kong.
