According to Reuters, sources familiar with the matter said that ByteDance, Alibaba, and Tencent have ordered more than 3 million NVIDIA RTX PRO 5500 workstation GPUs, with a total value exceeding $35 billion at list prices. The RTX PRO 5500 is a workstation-class GPU rather than NVIDIA's most advanced AI chips designed for large-scale data center clusters. However, it complies with U.S. export control requirements for China and is among the higher-performance NVIDIA chips currently available to Chinese buyers.
