SWI Group Raises $895 Million to Transform Bitcoin Mining Farms Into AI Infrastructure
According to The Block, following its acquisition of FTX's Bitcoin mining company Genesis Digital Assets, SWI Group has raised €800 million (approximately $895 million) from institutional investors to expand its AI data centers and high-performance computing infrastructure in the United States and Europe. As part of its strategic transformation, the company is converting its suitable Bitcoin mining facilities for AI computing purposes, gradually exiting the cryptocurrency mining business.
