Reuters Survey: Over 80% of Japanese companies have not fully adopted AI

According to a Reuters survey, over 80% of Japanese companies make limited use of AI or do not use it at all, with only 16% of Japanese companies viewing it as an indispensable tool. A Japanese government report noted that 86.4% of Japanese enterprises have used generative AI in at least one task, a proportion lower than China's 98.1%, Germany's 91.6%, and the United States' 90.9%. For the next one to two years, only 4% of companies expect their AI budgets to achieve annual growth of 50% or more, while all respondents indicated they would not cut AI spending.
