Barclays hires Morgan Stanley executive to head Asian private banking business

According to Bloomberg, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Barclays has appointed Wee Yee Yeong, head of wealth management at Morgan Stanley Singapore, as head of wealth management for Singapore and Asia. As Barclays restarts its Singapore booking center operations, Wee is expected to assume the position in December, succeeding Evonne Tan, who left in April to become chief executive officer of Schroders Asia Wealth Management.
