According to CNBC, credit card issuer Synchrony Financial is partnering with OpenAI and plans to allow consumers to use its issued store-branded credit cards to directly purchase goods within ChatGPT. Synchrony issues credit cards for brands such as Amazon, Walmart, and Lowe's. The collaboration aims to embed financing, payment, and rewards features into the AI chatbot shopping process.
