French family held hostage in cryptocurrency-related home invasion; six suspects placed under investigation

According to a report by the French newspaper Le Parisien, a family in Taverny, Val-d'Oise, France, was held at gunpoint by an armed gang during a home invasion. The victim's wife and 10-year-old child were tied up, while the husband was tortured with a taser. Suspects attempted to seize his cryptocurrency assets but ultimately only stole a small amount of cash and household items. Six suspects were transferred to judicial authorities on September 11 and are under investigation on suspicion of organized armed robbery, extortion, illegal detention, and membership in a criminal organization.
