According to Yonhap News Agency, the Seoul Main Office of the Korea Customs Service arrested a 29-year-old man, A, and transferred him to the prosecution authorities on charges of violating laws related to narcotic control. From last December to April this year, A smuggled a total of 4 types of drugs, including 58.95g of synthetic cannabis, 6 cannabis cartridges, and 2.9g of cocaine, through international parcels sent from Europe on 6 separate occasions. A placed orders via the overseas dark web, paid with cryptocurrency, and used false recipient names and addresses, falsifying the declared item name as "e-cigarettes" to conceal the drugs. Notably, A also used AI to search for "methods to respond when caught" to evade tracking, but was still located by authorities through scientific investigation methods such as digital forensics and apprehended near his residence.
