Mesh partners with Visa, allowing users to spend cryptocurrency directly without a separate card.
According to The Block, crypto payment infrastructure company Mesh announced a partnership with Visa, allowing users to directly use cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances in their wallet apps for offline and online payments at over 175 million merchant locations worldwide, without having to sell or transfer assets beforehand. The solution utilizes Visa credentials configured on the backend, with Mesh responsible for transaction fund settlement and currency conversion; users do not need to transfer assets, and merchants are required to make no changes. Bam Azizi, co-founder and CEO of Mesh, stated that the bottleneck in the crypto industry lies in the "last mile" problem, which previously often required obtaining a separate card to solve. The partnership's launch date, supported devices, and participating platforms have not yet been announced.
