BlackRock crypto assets rebound in Q3, AUM rises to $79.6 billion
According to CoinDesk, BlackRock’s third-quarter digital asset AUM surged significantly from $48.8 billion to $79.6 billion, marking a 63% quarter-over-quarter increase. Net inflows during the period totaled $7.9 billion, reversing the $2.2 billion net outflow in the first half of the year. This growth was primarily driven by rising market prices, with market value gains contributing $22.9 billion and new investor capital adding $7.9 billion. Despite this, the current figure remains 23% below the approximately $104 billion peak reached at this time last year, with market value declining by $30.6 billion over the past 12 months. During the quarter, BlackRock’s digital asset products (including the iShares Bitcoin Trust IBIT) collectively generated $39 million in fees and securities lending income.
