Western Union Chooses Noah to Build Global Stablecoin Payment Network Covering Over 200 Countries and Regions
According to a Noah announcement, Western Union has selected it as its global stablecoin payment infrastructure provider, deploying an underlying on-chain banking network for the Receiver Redirect service that supports over 60 currencies across more than 200 countries and regions. Built on Western Union’s US dollar stablecoin USDPT (issued by Anchorage Digital Bank on Solana), the service leverages Noah’s infrastructure to handle pre-funding, conversion, and fund disbursements. Users can remit funds through Western Union’s global network of over 500,000 agent locations, while recipients can receive USDPT into their Western Union wallets and store related stablecoin assets via Stablecard.
