Gemini Founders Winklevoss Brothers and DCG Founder Battle for Zcash Ecosystem Expansion
According to Bloomberg, Gemini founders the Winklevoss brothers and DCG founder Barry Silbert are expanding their presence in the Zcash ecosystem. The entities they back, Cypherpunk Technologies and Fortitude Mining, have emerged as leading ZEC miners and plan to invest tens of millions of dollars to further increase their hashrate. Currently, Cypherpunk accounts for approximately 20% of Zcash's total network hashrate; Fortitude stated that after its latest batch of equipment is deployed, its share will also reach roughly 20%.
