Researchers propose a Shielded Bitcoin privacy transfer scheme that can hide both parties to the transaction and the transfer amount.

Source: decrypt.co Event types: Online/Update
According to Decrypt, the Bitcoin cryptography development team [[alloc] init] has published a design for Shielded Bitcoin, aiming to enable Zcash-like private transfers on the Bitcoin mainnet without modifying its existing consensus rules. The scheme conceals the sender, receiver, and transfer amount through encrypted notes and zero-knowledge proofs, while utilizing Nullifiers to prevent double-spending. However, the current design only covers transactions within the privacy system itself; how BTC enters and exits this system is not included in this design, with the team planning to provide further details in subsequent papers.
