Mastercard and BVNK Jointly Launch Global Currency Platform, Integrating Fiat and Stablecoin Capabilities
According to an official Mastercard announcement, Mastercard and stablecoin infrastructure company BVNK officially launched the Mastercard Global Money Platform on October 15, 2026. This marks the first major integration rollout following Mastercard's completion of its acquisition of BVNK in August 2026.
The platform delivers a full-stack modular financial infrastructure through a single API, supporting multi-currency accounts (including fiat and stablecoins), real-time conversion, stablecoin-linked cards, and local bank payments. It covers over 200 countries and regions, more than 40 currencies, and enables card issuance in over 130 countries. Banks, fintech companies, and enterprises can integrate these capabilities into their own products or use them directly to manage their own funds, payments, and settlement operations.
