Bolivian car dealer Toyosa accepts Bitcoin for vehicle purchases
Toyota announced during the 2026 Santa Cruz International Expo that customers can use Bitcoin to purchase Toyota vehicles. Bitcoin thus becomes an additional payment method following the Bolivian peso, US dollar, and Tether (USDT). Related transactions are processed through a platform provided by Towerbank, while digital asset custodian BitGo supplies the technology, security, and transaction tracking infrastructure. Toyota had previously introduced USDT payments in 2025.
