Ripple launches XRPL lending protocol, aimed at providing lending and credit infrastructure for on-chain assets. The protocol adopts a design philosophy of "off-chain credit assessment, on-chain standardized execution", consists of two parts: single-asset vaults and lending protocol, and is used to organize liquidity and issue loans, calculate interest, process repayments, and handle defaults according to agreed terms.
Ripple is advancing the addition of a lending infrastructure layer on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), enabling institutions to raise funds using on-chain tokenized assets as collateral. The protocol will automatically execute loan terms, while credit evaluation and lending decisions remain handled by off-chain institutions.According to disclosures, the proposal is named the XRPL Lending Protocol (corresponding to XLS-65 and XLS-66 standards). It is currently in the technical draft stage and will require approval through validator voting before launching on the mainnet, but developer testing has already been opened on the test network. The protocol’s design splits the lending process into two parts: on-chain management of liquidity pools, interest calculation, repayment execution, and default handling; while borrower credit assessment and loan term setting remain with traditional financial institutions to meet compliance requirements across different jurisdictions.Ripple states that the mechanism is primarily aimed at institutional short-term liquidity needs. For example, in cross-border payment scenarios, temporary financing through stablecoins or collateral assets can be obtained before settlement is completed, thereby improving capital efficiency.Analysts believe that while the plan attempts to introduce a “rule-enforced lending infrastructure” similar to traditional finance while maintaining XRPL's open network attributes, it will still face competition from established on-chain lending protocols such as Aave, Compound, and Maple. Oman's Ministry of Foreign Affairs released the relevant content of Foreign Minister Badr's recent interview. Badr stated that Oman is always committed to ensuring a safe, peaceful, and free navigation environment for all parties in the Strait of Hormuz. He pointed out that Oman and Iran have reached a consensus in ongoing dialogues, and any future arrangements involving the Strait of Hormuz must be conducted within the framework of international law.Regarding the issue of toll fees that has drawn public attention, Badr stated that Oman does not support charging passage fees for transit ships, but did not rule out the possibility of discussing mechanisms related to maritime services. Badr said that discussions could be held on topics such as enhancing navigation safety, improving maritime accident emergency response capabilities, and preventing marine pollution. In this regard, practices from other straits could serve as references. He stated that such arrangements would be negotiated and formulated with countries and shipping companies using the Strait of Hormuz shipping route. Their purpose is to improve maritime services and ensure navigation safety, rather than adding new burdens to global trade. (CCTV News)
Ethlabs posted on X platform to address its non-profit positioning and funding situation. It stated that the choice to operate as a non-profit structure is to focus on the long-term development needs of Ethereum as a "public good" and to maintain the organization's independence and neutrality in research and development.Regarding governance structure, Ethlabs pointed out that its funding comes from large ETH holders and builders within the Ethereum ecosystem. These funders are closely aligned with the long-term success of Ethereum but will not receive any governance control, nor will they participate in roadmap formulation or project priority decisions. Ethlabs emphasized that this arrangement is a deliberate design aimed at preventing external capital from influencing its core direction.Meanwhile, Ethlabs indicated that the future continuous fundraising mechanism itself acts as a "accountability mechanism." Only by consistently creating real value for the Ethereum ecosystem can it secure subsequent funding support, thereby forming a long-term feedback loop.In terms of funding, Ethlabs revealed that it is currently in the final stages of fundraising and has not yet disclosed the specific amount. However, the pledged funding commitments are expected to support an operational cycle of 2 to 3 years and cover the needs for recruiting top-tier talent. Ethlabs emphasized its positioning as a long-term project, not a one-time grant program.
Sky (formerly MakerDAO), in collaboration with Spark and Uniswap, announced that the initial 150 million in liquidity for FX Layer, a stablecoin exchange system jointly developed by the three parties, is entirely sourced from the Sky ecosystem's stablecoin USDS. As the platform's core pricing asset, USDS provides base liquidity for USDS/USDT and USDS/PYUSD trading pools, marking the first large-scale implementation of this shared liquidity framework. The long-term plan for the three parties is to introduce institutions engaged in stablecoin operations, such as PayPal's PYUSD, Ripple's RLUSD, Robinhood, and Revolut, to access the unified infrastructure. This eliminates the need for each issuer to independently build liquidity pools and market-making systems. Simultaneously, a governance mechanism will be established to allow idle funds not involved in market-making to generate ongoing returns.Looking back to June 25th, Spark and Uniswap officially announced the launch of FX Layer. The division of roles is clear: Spark acts as the orchestration layer to allocate cross-stablecoin liquidity, while Uniswap v4 executes transaction paths via its programmable AMM mechanism through the DualPool hook. It offers a one-stop stablecoin exchange service for banks, fintech companies, and payment enterprises.
the core US crypto regulatory bill, the "Digital Asset Market Clarity Act" (Clarity Act), has entered a critical two-week negotiation cycle for legislation. The Senate will be in recess until July 13. During the recess, bipartisan staff, the White House, and representatives from the crypto industry will continue to negotiate outstanding differences in the bill, focusing on resolving disputes over topics such as the integration of the two bill versions from the Senate Banking Committee and the Agriculture Committee, ethics clauses, and anti-money laundering rules. If all parties successfully reach a unified compromise version, the bill could be submitted for a full Senate vote as early as late July to early August. The market generally believes that the period before the August congressional recess is the only window for the bill to be passed this year. If the vote is not completed during this phase, the probability of the bill being enacted into law within 2026 will significantly decrease. (Crypto in America)
on-chain data analytics firm Glassnode has released its latest weekly market summary, noting that Bitcoin has briefly stabilized around the $60,000 level. However, the market is characterized by strong defensive traits and a lack of bullish confidence. The spot market is range-bound, with trading activity slightly increasing. Yet, capital continues to flow out on a net basis, and market liquidity is primarily driven by distribution, with no large-scale accumulation observed. The derivatives market is persistently deleveraging, with traders prioritizing downside hedging protection and showing low willingness for directional long positions. Funding rates remain low, indicating a generally weak risk appetite. Institutional pressure is significant, as US spot Bitcoin ETFs are collectively in a state of unrealized losses, with continued net capital outflows and low willingness among institutions to increase positions.Glassnode states that the current market is undergoing a period of structural adjustment and capital contraction. The $60,000 level provides only temporary support, and there are no signs of recovery in spot orders, derivatives positions, or institutional capital. For a sustained upward trend to emerge, a significant restoration of confidence among buyers is required.

: Bitcoin infrastructure company Breez has added a new feature to its developer toolkit, allowing users to send USDC and USDT directly from their Bitcoin balance to over 30 blockchain networks, without the need to convert in advance or hold stablecoins. This feature combines the Lightning Network with an automatic conversion mechanism. After the user enters the recipient's wallet address, the Breez SDK identifies the target blockchain, calculates the conversion route, and displays the amount, network, and fees before the payment is confirmed. The transaction is then routed through liquidity providers such as Flashnet and Boltz, converting the sender's Bitcoin into stablecoins and delivering them to the blockchain chosen by the recipient. Breez states that users still hold Bitcoin while initiating the payment, while the recipient receives stablecoins on their preferred blockchain. The feature operates in a non-custodial mode and initially only supports sending stablecoins outward. Future versions are planned to support receiving stablecoins from external blockchain networks.

CZ previously mentioned in an interview that “if Satoshi’s address remains inactive for a long time after Bitcoin’s quantum-resistant upgrade, the relevant Bitcoin should be frozen,” sparking widespread discussion within the community. He Yi stated that the potential impact of quantum computing on the existing Bitcoin encryption system has long been a core topic of debate in the industry. CZ’s suggestion is not his personal original idea but rather a response proposal that has long existed within the Bitcoin community. By raising it in a public interview, his intention was merely to bring the technical security issue into the mainstream and broaden the scope of discussion. She noted that Bitcoin has undergone multiple forks while maintaining network stability, and there is no need for pessimism when facing quantum risks. Security challenges can be addressed through community collaboration to find solutions. The value of entrepreneurs lies in exploring feasible paths amid industry challenges, and any final disposal plans will ultimately be determined through the consensus mechanism of the Bitcoin community.

Framework Ventures co-founder Michael Anderson pointed out in his analysis that the core opportunity in the next stage of the crypto industry may no longer be limited to crypto assets themselves, but rather evolve into a financing infrastructure for capital-intensive industries such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and energy, with blockchain becoming the capital layer.Compared to the 2020–2021 cycle, which was centered on DeFi and crypto speculation, tokenization and stablecoins are evolving from crypto-native applications into financial infrastructure serving the real economy. They can be used to provide more efficient financing channels for assets such as GPU computing power and energy projects. Currently, over $300 billion in stablecoin liquidity on-chain offers new funding sources for asset-backed lending, potentially allowing assets that were traditionally difficult to securitize—such as servers and computing hardware—to be packaged as financeable assets. Goldman Sachs analyst James Yaro has released an analysis report on Robinhood (HOOD), maintaining a "Buy" rating and raising the price target from $108 to $121.
Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, told lawmakers during a U.S. congressional hearing that the development of open-source artificial intelligence is entering a "very dangerous path." Once AI models with strong capabilities are released as open source, developers will lose effective oversight over how the models are used, including the ability to monitor misuse, revoke access permissions, or dynamically update security safeguards, thereby significantly increasing potential risks. Dario Amodei emphasized that, compared to closed-model systems, fully open models are more difficult to implement ongoing security governance controls, which could lead to irreversible risks of abuse. Taiko, an Ethereum Layer 2 project, announced that its fix has been reviewed by independent security experts. The mainnet will resume operations in four steps, including: deploying the fix and confirming the chain's final state is correct, ensuring there are no invalid checkpoints or attacker-submitted records that could be accepted; replenishing cross-chain bridge liquidity to ensure all L2 assets maintain a 1:1 reserve; restoring network operations and reopening L2 transfers, swaps, and trading functions; and having the security committee propose lifting the bridge suspension to fully restore asset deposit and withdrawal functionality.Taiko stated that during the initial reopening period, relatively conservative withdrawal limits will be set as an additional security measure, but this is not expected to affect users' normal asset operations.
